| Yellow rust : Small yellow pustules arranged in stripes are formed the leaves. |
1. Sow resistant variety
2. Spray the crop with Indofil Z-78 (0.2%) |
| Loose smut : The affected plants produce black smutted ears containing loosely held spore mass. |

Stripe disease : The disease starts by the appearance of small yellow spots on old leaf blades and sheaths. These
spots elongate into stripes. Once the leaves starts showing symptoms, all the succeeding leaves of the tiller, sometimes
the entire stool shows the stripes. |
