Mukhyamantri Arogya Pashudhan

Under “ Mukhyamantri Arogya Pashudhan Yojana” each Gram Panchayat of the state where no Veterinary institution exist, is being provided with Veterinary institution.  At present 2148 Veterinary institutions are engaged in providing veterinary services in the state of Himachal Pradesh:-  Veterinary Polyclinic 9 Sub- Divisional Vety. Hospital 49 Vety. Hospital 285 Central Vety. Dispensaries 30 Vety. Dispensaries 1769 Vety. Check Post 6 Out of total 3243 Gram Panchayats in the State, about 1251 Gram Panchayats were still without any Vety. Institution till 2010-11. Therefore, under Mukhyamantri Arogya Pashudhan Yojana such unrepresented Gram Panchayats are being provided with a Veterinary institution in a phased manner. Till date, 1134 such Veterinary institutions have been made functional whereas remaining 117 notified Veterinary institutions are likely to be made functional after trained personnel are available. Vety. Pharmacist Trainees are provided 2 years training (course) at Training Institute inclusive of 6 months practical training in Departmental institutions under the guidance/supervision of concerned Veterinary Officer. After successful clearance of the final examination they are then posted as Gram Panchayat Veterinary Assistant in Panchayats as per requirement.
